“Turn Yourself In” is a new feature to the Indiegrrl website. Performing Members are encouraged to “Turn Themselves In” to Indiegrrl to let us know what exciting news, accomplishments, awards, or major performances they are experiencing in their music careers. This is a great way to connect, keeping their fans, the general public, and their fellow Indiegrrl peers, up to date on what is happening in their lives. These posts will change every other month keeping you up to date on what is happening with Indiegrrl Performing Members.

Tracy Jane Comer has had a remarkable year following the release of her second album “Quietly There”. She received double nominations by the 2005 Madison Area Music Awards as “Best Acoustic Artist” and “Best Acoustic Album” and was honored three times by VH-1’s Song of the year International songwriting Contest. Julie Clark has been chosen as the “Featured Performer” at the Third Annual “Equality Virginia Commonwealth Dinner”, to be held on Saturday 4/8/06. Rachel Harrington won second place in the Gig Harbor Folk Festival songwriting competition in September 2005 for her song, Blow, a romp through the western landscape that details the life of train robber Bill Minor. She was honored to perform at the festival with David Wilcox, Lucy Kaplansky, David Lindley and many other respected artists. Linq was the feature story in the weekly Arts and Entertainment magazine of The Recorder (Greenfield MA) on Dec.29, 2005. Vicki Genfan brought in producer, Ian Melrose from Germany to help her complete her new CD. They recorded at the SHED in NYC with engineer/co-producer, Tay Hoyle. Got 22 tracks done! Vicki Genfan was also invited to teach at the Swannanoa Gathering, an incredible music camp in Asheville, N.C. where she got alot of inspiration from all the talent and great music there. She also got a chance to play for one of her guitar idols, Leo Kottke and was allowed to visit him in the 'green room' before his show in Montclair, NJ. In January 2006 she performed at the NAMM trade show in Anaheim Ca. with 7 of the 'La Guitara' CD ladies. The performance will be part of a documentary being done on the groundbreaking project.

Linq - It's official! Linq's CD, JOURNEY, is an Editor's Choice Winner in the 2006 "Kweevak.com Music Project of the Year" Awards. JOURNEY also placed 4th in the Kweevak's "Reader's Survey" Awards. Linq's new release (June 2006), FAST MOVING DREAM, is getting airplay across the country and in Canada. It also just landed Linq a slot in the Radio Crystal Blue "Future Stars" airplay series.

Susan Souza, www.susansouza.com, a musician, singer, songwriter. She is also the President-CEO of Women's KISS, Kickass Independent Songwriter Showcase, formed in 2004, with a mission to promote and emphasize the quality and diversity of independent female musicians from around the globe, while educating our audiences about the contributions of these artists to the field of music, through a variety of multi-artist events. In early 2007, Women's KISS will officially become a nonprofit corporation, and begin presenting showcases all over the country.

Jan Seides - www.janseides.com - has been nominated for a B. Iden Payne Theater award for Best Musical Director of a musical comedy. The show was "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah" presented at the JCCA Theater in February 2006. Jan lives in Austin, TX where she is an accomplished music teacher of piano, guitar, and voice and performs regularly in venues around the Austin area.

Lori Citro has just been awarded a fellowship grant in the "established artist" category from the Deleware Division of the Arts for the year 2007 in recognition of her artistic accomplishments.
