Provincetown
Inn Seaside Resort & Conference Center have partnered together
to feature nine nights of Indiegrrl showcases featuring a talented line
up of nationally touring Indiegrrl members from October 5th to 13th
during the Women’s Week celebration. Part of the proceeds from
these showcases will go to the Indie Music For Life fund raising efforts
for cancer research and educational material on the benefits of music
as therapy for cancer patients.

Rachael Sage - www.rachaelsage.com - East Village songstress, poet and multi-media maven Rachael Sage has been making gutsy pop music in one form or another since she was three years old. Her latest offering of "lovely and literate folk-pop-rock" (The Village Voice), THE BLISTERING SUN, is devoted to the topics of vision, clarity, and facing life head on. Just a few of her most recent awards are 2005 Independent Music Award (Folk), 2005 Outmusic Award (Outstanding Songwriter), 2005 International Acoustic Music Award, 2005 Featured MIDEM Artist (Sonicbids-sponsored Indie Showcase), 2005 Finalist, VH-1 Song Of The Year for "Surprise" (Gospel category), and 4th place winner of the 2006 Indiegrrl Song Writing Contest. |
Brazz Tree - www.brazztree.com - In just a little over a year, Brazz Tree has built a strong New York fan base from their mesmerizing shows and etheric string sounds playing clubs throughout NYC. They were selected to perform at the 2006 SXSW Music Festival in Austin, 2006 CMEAS Tour in Holland, the 2006 NACA National Convention in Boston, 2006 NXNE Festival in Toronto, the Temecula Valley Film Festival, and the Dewey Beach Music Festival in Dewey DE. They are on the Relix magazine compilation cd for the April/May 2006 issue and have received Radio play from across the country including a spotlight on Acoustic Cafe (ACAFE) as "one to watch". Winners of the 2006 Indiegrrl Song Writing Contest. |

Evangaline Trio - www.vangedurst.com - Evangeline Trio is Evangeline Durst-Guitar/ Vocals, Michael Kurjan-Keys/ Vocals, and Deb Piccolo-Drums/Vocals. Vange and Michael have been playing together on and off for 12 years. First with the band Bering Strait from '93-95, then with "Sister Brother" from 95- 2000. They have produced 3 CDs, "Bering Strait", "Alchemy" and "Walking Miracle". Deb Piccolo jumped into the mix in February 2006 and is a fantastic addition. She has a great musical ear and is funny as hell too. The Trio is recording a 5 song EP in May and will be selling it on the website by July. Vange was the 2005 Hartford Advocate's Guitarist of the Year and was a founding member of the all girl funk band, Sisterfunk. |

Linq - www.linqmusic.com - Linq’s lifetime passion for music has taken on a new and exciting dimension. At an age when many look forward to retirement, Linq is kicking it up, cranking it out, and defying stereotypes. In December 2002 she decided that it was time to start sharing her music with the public, and she hasn’t looked back. She released a single called “War Machine” in June 2003, and her first full length CD, “Journey”, was released in July 2004. She has opened for the legendary June Millington, Steve Forbert, and the Hunger Mountain Boys, and has shared the stage with Sonya Kitchell, 2001 JPF nominee Lisa Martin, the soulful Marsia Shuron Harris, the Valley’s favorite party band Trailer Park, the Ethan Stone Band, and the emerging “symphonic metal” phenomenon Adam Bergeron. She has been a “regular” at the annual 1794 Meetinghouse Musicfest and has shared the stage there with June Millington, Patty Larkin, Northern Lights, Mark Erelli, Michael Pickett, Sister Funk, and Rani Arbo and Daisy Mayhem. |

Vicki Blankenship - www.spottedkivaproductions.com - The Founder/President of Indie Music For Life and CEO of Indiegrrl, Vicki resides in the small rural area of Ridgeway, VA. But this small town girl is known nationally for her presence in the independent music arena along with her volunteer work to promote other artists and to raise money in the fight against cancer. She has opened for James Taylor, Emmylou Harris, Karla Bonoff, and more. She has been featured on various radio shows in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Sirius Satelite Radio. Proving that women can rock she was the winner of the Cape Fear Folk Festival Songwriter Showdown where she was up against a finalist field of 9 men, and was a finalist for the 2006 Outmusic "Musician of the Year" award. Vicki has been a featured artist at over 20 music festivals including the Southern Womyn's Festival, The Ohio LBA Festival, The Virginia Women's Festival, Rockrgrl Conference, Ladyfest Ohio, Brooklyn Splash Fest, and many more. She is that rare artist that comes along from the shadows of nowhere and blows away everybody that hears her perform. |

Carlyn Hutchins - www.carlynhutchins.com The "Indiegrrl MC" for the week will be Boston area singer songwriter Carlyn Hutchins. She's folky, edgy and honest. Her songwriting style redefines the term "no-holds-barred". Shameless lyrics drive a clean, sharp knife straight through the hearts of her devoted audience, leaving them hungry for more of that delicate, delicious voice. Her guitar work, ranging from hard, driven strumming to free-style picking, will give you chills in all the right places. In March 2005, she released a 5 song EP, the self-titled "Carlyn Hutchins", and in early 2006 released a CD of live performances called "Session: Live". Her new CD, "Lust Love Lost", is the studio version of the live CD, with several additional songs. On it, she is joined by New England based musicians Joey Ammo (guitar), Allison Hale (harmony vocals), Don "DC" Culp (percussion), Lisa Annunziata (bass), and Deb Blackadar (percussion). It was officially released in August 2006. |
