INDIEGRRL ANNOUNCES THIRD NATIONAL, 50 DATE TOUR
Indiegrrl, the largest cooperative of women in the independent music industry in the US, is proud to announce the Indiegrrl Tour 2000, a 50 date, 23 state tour, booked and promoted solely by the members of Indiegrrl. No headliners, no big name draws, no feminine products sponsors just amazing independent female musicians doing it for themselves. Every act on every bill is equal, every performer on the bill helps with promotion before the event, and all of the women have set their egos aside to work cooperatively and produce this enormous tour.
The tour will take place from October 1 through November 4, 2000. Tour schedule at http://www.indiegrrl.com/tour2000.html
The tour will end with a huge bang in Seattle at the Rockrgrl Conference, (November 2-4) with over 20 acts playing for 3 nights at Madison's Cafe, (http://www.madisons-cafe.com) the official Indiegrrl venue for the Rockrgrl Conference 2000. For more information on the conference, go to http://www.rockrgrl.com
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, several of the tour dates are benefits for local and national breast cancer research foundations, including the October 20th date in Seattle WA. Twelve fabulous acts, some local and some national, will converge on the Sit and Spin to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. For more information on the rest of the dates of the tour, go to http://www.indiegrrl.com/tour2000.html

Indiegrrl was started in 1998 by Holly Figueroa as a forum for information, networking and conversation about independent music from a female perspective. Since the inception of the free mailing list, Indiegrrl has grown into an independent record label releasing 2 highly acclaimed compilation CDs, hosting two other national tours, and
hundreds of other events across the US. Indiegrrl also books and provides talent for the Oprah Winfrey owned Oxygen Networks Tank Tour, and holds benefit concerts for regional and national organizations, such as Home Alive, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Institute, Independent Media Center, MRPP.org and many others. All
proceeds from the latest compilation will benefit the Men's Rape Prevention Project (www. mrpp.org), a non-profit organization working to prevent rape and other forms of male violence.
