Indiegrrl is not a booking agency. It is a cooperative of people working to further the cause of women in the independent music industry. The cause, of course, is to ensure that musicians of both genders play on an level field. To ensure this, we require that the people who benefit by performing with Indiegrrl show their support by volunteering their time and energy for this cause. We will not chase you down for shows! Members are encouraged to get involved, book shows and showcases involving other members, and network on the Indiegrrl list.

to sign on to theIndiegrrl Mailing List. This list is the way that Indiegrrl started back in May of 1998, and continues to be a free service. All of the tour announcements, calls for performers, showcase announcements, etc. are posted on this list. Indiegrrl is a large organization, with very few resources and people at the helm. We are unable to reach every single person by phone or email when we are planning a large event. YOU need to keep up with the lists if you want to get the information. We know its a lot of email. There is the option to go to the digest version of the list. But don't expect anyone to ask you specifically if you want to perform, even if you have expressed an interest some time in the past.
