Performing with Indiegrrl
PLEASE READ THIS PAGE IN ITS ENTIRETY
In order to perform during an indiegrrl event/concert/function, you must be approved by a committee of (at least) five industry professionals. We choose established and emerging acts, and the criteria for being chosen is simple: The music must be exceptional, no matter where in your career you are. Between 20 to 30 percent of the applications we get are approved. We don't put much stock in press kits, but we listen very carefully to the music you send.
Please do not send every piece of press you have ever gotten. We really don't look at it, so save your money. Also, don't send things like tshirts, candy, stickers, etc...they just get tossed out. Don't send folders, pictures, etc...we just don't care about that stuff! Just send the requirements below, and nothing more.
A commercially produced CD (or demo tape of good quality), clearly marked as to which 3 tracks the committee should review

The review committee meets during the first week of every month. You will not be notified upon the receipt of your submission, but you will be notified either way, whether you are approved or not.
If you have not heard back about your submission within 2 weeks, please contact the Review Committee as submissions have been known to get lost in the mail.
If you are approved, you will be instructed on what your next action should be for participation. If you are approved, it is your responsibility to become involved, on whatever level you feel comfortable. We won't drag you in..you have to GET INVOLVED. A really good start is signing on to the main Indiegrrl list. This is where it all happens. Sign up by sending a blank email to indiegrrl-subscribe@onelist.com.
