 Indiegrrl was founded by Holly Figueroa in May of 1998 as a forum for information, networking and conversation about independent music from a female perspective.
As of September 2001, there are over 1300 members internationally, making Indiegrrl the largest organization of its kind in the world.
The Indiegrrl list welcomes women performers, dj's, managers, and booking agents, as well as men interested in women's role in the independent music industry.

Indiegrrl Records proudly presents the Indiegrrl Compilation II,a benefit for Men Can Stop Rape, released in August of 2000.

We will soon be releasing the Indiegrrl Compilation III, a benefit for Twin Towers Orphan's Fund an organization created to provide for long-term education, health care, and other primary assistance to children who lost one or both parents in the terrorist-caused disasters of September 11, 2001.
