INDIEGRRL CONCERT AT ACOUSTIC CAFE

Some of the nations premiere female musicians will take to the stage at the Acoustic Cafe, Bridgeport CT, Saturday, March 4, 2000, for an Indiegrrl Concert you won't want to miss. Artists scheduled to perform include Kym Tuvim, Edie Carey, Vivian Slade, and Holly Figueroa.

Indiegrrl began as a mailing list set up in May of 1998 as a forum for information, networking and conversation about independent music from a female perspective. The list welcomes women and men interested in women's role in the independent music industry. Since its inception, Indiegrrl has gone on to be much more than a mailing list, with concerts and tours across the country, as well as a second compilation CD coming out of the record label in March 2000 www.indiegrrl.com

EDIE CAREY

"Edie Carey has the voice, the songs and the presence that will take her right up alongside such stars as Shawn Colvin and Ani DiFranco. Carey's voice soars over these tastily produced songs. One of my favorite albums of the year." - Matt Smith, Assistant Booking Manager, Club Passim Music Director, Folkweb

HOLLY FIGUEROA

"Three Chord Plea (first release) is charmingly blunt, as on "What I Miss", to harrowing, mood evoked on "A Thousand Times." She cuts through with a smoky, after midnight feel that ensures this (Indiegrrl) ringleader will not be confused with Lilith's white bread leading lady, Sarah McLachlan. Scott McLennan, Worcester (MA) Telegram, Datebook

VIVIAN SLADE

"Vivian Slade's Buffalo debut at Nietzsche's last Thursday is a performance that I will not soon forget. Slade is destined to become the next big female performer of the year 2000, blazing her own trail in the fashion of Tori Amos and Ani DiFranco."
Alexandra Harvey - MTV Online - New York, NY

KYM TUVIM

"Kym Tuvim has a huge voice, one that fills rooms and gets compared to Tracy Chapman, if only because it pulls you in the instant you hear it." (The Rocket, Seattle)
